Automatic Authoring of
Physical and Perceptual/Affective
Motion Effects for Virtual Reality

This project aims to study methods to facilitate the authoring of various motion effects that are provided with audiovisual content to improve user experiences.

Established a classification system for 1) motion effects that classify motion effects according to their characteristics, and developed an algorithm that automatically creates 2) motion effects according to the classification. At the same time, 3) efforts were made to understand the perceptual/emotional characteristics of motion effects, and based on the results, a method of generating motion effects with specific 4) perceptual/emotional characteristics was studied. Based on the previous research results, 5) a method of giving perceptual/emotional characteristics to automatically generated motion effects was also studied.
